Nonna’s famous Wandis

Ingredients

Scale

¾ cup of plain flour

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

6 eggs, beaten

1 tbsp lemon juice

¼ cup oil

Instructions

Mix dry ingredients and make a well. Add liquid ingredients. Knead dough until smooth and let rest under a metal bowl for ten minutes. Cut into six pieces. Roll out each piece until thin and cut into strips of 2×8 inches. Make a slit in center of strip. Feed one half through the slit like a ribbon. Deep fry in vegetable oil until golden. Turn with spatula and remove. Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar when cool.
